MAA Announces New Changes to BOD including Chairman of the Board

Among the many networking and presentations that took place this past week during the 2019 MAA Annual Conference there was also a changing of the guard.
 
It is with great pleasure that we welcome Dan Balkema, the President of Aggregate Resources, as our new Chairman of the Board and we are looking forward to his leadership as we work to ensure a strong and vibrate aggregate industry for Michigan’s future.  Dan is a third generational miner (sand and gravel as well as coal) in the southwest area of Michigan as well as Indiana and has been very active in the MAA for many years. 
 
In addition, it was announced that the new MAA executive board for 2019-2020 will include:
Chris Kinney, President of Great Lakes Aggregates, MAA Vice Chairman
Rick Kidd, Director – Construction Materials Edw. C. Levy Co.  - MAA Treasurer
Rick Becker, President Michigan Paving & Materials/Stoneco of Michigan - MAA Immediate Past Chair
 
To round out the changes to the MAA BOD, the following MAA members were elected to serve a two-year term (2019-2020):
