MDOT Prequalified Aggregate Supplier List – Industry Action Required!!!

A couple weeks ago, MAA posted a bulletin stating that MDOT is currently in the process of digitizing their prequalified aggregate files and creating a more streamlined approval process.

In the bulletin, it was stated that MDOT Prequalified Suppliers should be hearing from MDOT by February 7, 2020.  However, due to internal workloads MDOT has removed that deadline.  Therefore, if you have not received notification from MDOT, they are requesting that you contact your MDOT Region Aggregate Contact and provide the following information so that your information is updated before the 2020 construction season begins.  Failure to do so may result in your company being removed from the MDOT Prequalified Aggregate Supplier List.

The following is a note from MDOT …

If you are a supplier on the MDOT Prequalified Aggregate Supplier Online list, please provide information and documentation as requested on the attached sheet (click here) to both the controlling region and MDOT-AggregateQuality@michigan.gov 8885 Ricks Rd, Lansing, MI 48917.

Please make the subject line 2020 Prequalification Continuance or send the mail Attn: 2020 Prequalification Continuance.

Failure to respond in entirety will remove Prequalification status from this supplier.

Please note that the attached sheet (click here) asks you to include a current QCP, delivery ticket, the date of your last submitted weekly summary and to call out each specified material class individually.  All MDOT materials is not a valid answer for MDOT Specification Aggregate Classifications Prequalified. These requirements are outlined in the Procedures for Aggregate Inspection’s Aggregate Supplier Program section on attaining and keeping prequalification status for aggregate suppliers.

It is the Suppliers responsibility to maintain accuracy in their Quality Control Plan and ensure both the controlling region and Aggregate Quality are apprised of any contact information changes. Failure to do so will result in removal of the prequalification status of the Supplier.

If you have any questions please contact your MDOT region contact or send an email to MDOT-AggregateQuality@michigan.gov
