Member Spotlight - Stoneco

In recognition of its commitment to the success of local communities across Michigan, Stoneco of Michigan has earned an MAA Community Relations Award!

In 2021 Stoneco continued to maintain strong ties across the communities they serve to the benefit of local citizens and our industry at large, despite challenges posed by the pandemic.

For example, it supported youth activities by sponsoring Monroe High School Athletics and the Livonia Hockey Association, and by participating in 4-H livestock auctions in Allegan, Armada, Jackson, Manchester, Monroe, and Washtenaw counties. Stoneco was also a part of multiple local fundraisers for important causes, including Toys for Tots, the Marine Corps League Macomb County Detachment 154, Construction Angels, Levi’s Link, Boy Scouts of America, Barton Mallow Building Communities program, Bed Race to Aid Children, Humane Society, Relay for Life and Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

On the education front, the company continued to be supportive of the Detroit Workforce of the Future program, which introduces students to career opportunities in the construction industry, conducted tours with community leaders and students to promote and educate them about the importance of the Michigan mining industry and hosted the annual Women in Construction Week event.

Stoneco made higher education a priority through school donations and scholarships, such as the Eastern Michigan University Construction Management Scholarship Fund and MSPE Scholarship Fund.

On behalf of all MAA members, we congratulate Stoneco of Michigan on its MAA Community Relations Award for outstanding service to its communities!
