As companies ramp up and move into full gear for the summer, MAA wants to remind its members to be aware of email scams. From time to time, MAA member receive various fraudulent wire payment requests and other email scams that appear to be legitimate but in fact are fraudulent. If you question the intent of the request, please reach out to the company via phone and verify/clarify the validity of the request. If you are questionable about an email attachment do not open it until you have verified it with the company or person that has sent it.
