Congratulations to Koenig Materials on being awarded an MAA Community Relations Award and MAA Environmental Award!
The MAA Community Relations Award Program recognizes companies who are meeting and exceeding community relations standards in the aggregate industry. MAA Environmental Awards are awarded to companies who are meeting and/or exceeding state and federal environmental standards in the industry.
Koenig Materials has shown their dedication to the Oxford community, through developing relationships with first responders, elected officials, and community members. A "Community Appreciation Day" was held at their property, where members of the community had the chance to come and tour their facility and learn about all aspects of their operation.
Koenig Materials was also the site of the local Tough Mudder and Spartan Race, which are all-terrain races that have over 10,000 participants!
Koenig Materials has exemplified their dedication to improving Michigan's environment by providing training for all employees and implementing best practice management, as well as mine, reclamation, and recycling programs.
