Celebrating Success: Highlights from the 2024 MAA Summer Conference at Boyne Mountain

On behalf of the entire association, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our speakers, event sponsors, and all MAA members who contributed to making the 2024 MAA Summer Conference a memorable and informative event. This year, the conference was held at Boyne Mountain in Boyne Falls and featured various educational and social events highlighting the fantastic attractions of Northern Michigan.

The association update meetings included a presentation by Command Alkon and Great Lakes Aggregates on the many benefits of using the e-ticketing system. Rehmann discussed the benefits, challenges, and ways to stay ahead in Artificial Intelligence. These presentations were on top of updates from MAA’s various committees (safety, environmental, specifications, public relations, operations, technology, and governmental relations). A special thank you to Representative Ken Borton for providing an update from Lansing.

This year’s event featured a variety of networking activities, including golf, floral arranging, nail driving contests, speed cornhole competition, sky bridge walk, paint ball competitions, campfires, one-wheel lessons, and much more.

A special shout-out to the winners of the 2nd Annual MAA Speed Cornhole Tournament – Doug Moore and his son Blake from Fisher Companies.

Looking ahead, be sure to mark your calendar for next year's MAA Summer Conference, which will take place July 17-20, 2025, at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island.

Thank you so much to everyone who attended!
