MAA to Host Open Water Rescue Training
Enhance Your Team's Emergency Response Skills
As part of MAA’s continued commitment to safety, the MAA Safety Committee is pleased to offer an
Open Water Rescue Training session for members. This hands-on training will provide essential knowledge and practical techniques for safely performing open water rescues using row boats and other rescue equipment.
The training will be led by Greg Kowalski from
G&M Consulting. Greg Kowalski is a retired fire captain and current safety compliance training officer at Wayne County Community College. With more than 25 years of experience, Greg has trained over 900 fire departments and public safety agencies across Michigan and surrounding states in both water and ice rescue techniques. His in-depth expertise and use of top-tier equipment ensure an engaging and informative experience.

- Time: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Location: Motz Park

- Cost: $150 per participant
- Class Size: Limited to 20 participants
Lunch will be provided following the session, offering a chance to network and discuss key takeaways.
