Aggregate Delivery Ticket Requirements – Action Needed

MAA has been informed by MDOT that, under the MDOT Procedures for Aggregate Inspection (PAI), the following information is required on all aggregate delivery tickets, in addition to the MDOT Standard Specifications for Construction:

• Supplier’s dock or yard ASI number
• Aggregate material’s original source ASI number

The PAI document—click here —has required this information in the past, but it has not always been applied consistently. The 2025 update to the PAI clarifies and simplifies these requirements but does not change them. This requirement is already part of current contracts and must be followed.

Starting next year (2026), MDOT will withhold payment for aggregates that arrive without this information on the delivery ticket. MDOT has asked MAA to help share this information with the industry.
